Today was the last day of our vacation (insert sadness here). It was a nice ending though... I woke up to find that the laptop I wanted was on sale (gotta give God His props for the answered prayer)... so I got it and I can't wait to charge it up & check it out. Then later I went to the mall & found out that I dropped another size in shorts. Lol, that's when I know I'm having a good day.
While I was at the mall though, my mom and I were at the make-up counter and she was treating me to some eyeshadow... and the girl behind the counter was like (to me), "It must be nice getting expensive makeup..." She said it in a really bitchy tone though, like I was too young to be getting it. Then she asked how old I was (again with the tone). I knew she must be thinking that I was like 12-14 (lol... I guess it probably pissed her off thinking that a young pre-teen/teenager was getting $15 eyeshadows). I told her I was 24 & she looked surprised (as I knew she would). My mom was like, "You thought she was younger..." She said, "Yeah, I thought you were like 18." I knew she didn't even think I was that old though... I do think an 18 year old is old enough to wear and buy department store make-up if they want, don't you? It's interesting to watch people back-pedal after they way under guess my age though. They're always embarassed... I usually let them know that it's alright, everybody does it. I didn't feel like going through the trouble this time though.. she just sounded so snotty.
But anyways, the day was nice... capped it off with a nice dinner.
Funny random thing, today my cell-phone went wacko & popped open an almost 4 year old text message (like it was new). I got all excited at the message (was good news, lol) until I realized that it was from 2003 (good news became old news, lol). I didn't know that they lasted that long. Still wondering how & why it resurfaced...
