Ok.. I am soooo ticked off. I just typed this whole long journal entry out & I when I got down to the bottom I saw this new feature called "Tags" so I clicked on the little question mark next to it to see what it was about & then I suddenly realized.. uh oh, what if I go back & my whole entry is gone.. so I rushed back here & sure enough, it's gone. I'm really tired so I don't feel like typing the whole thing out again.. I'll give a real condensed version of what I wrote before.

Time goes by too fast, I can't believe it's been a year since I wrote in here. Yeah, I got pretty profound in this part, shame it's gone...

Then I talked a little about the new hurricane & how I hope & pray that all of the people in it's path come out ok & that they all hopefully get to safety.

Then I went into a little bit of detail on what has happened in my life since I last wrote in here. I'm gonna make this really brief because I don't want to go into the whole thing again...

Grandma died, it sucks. I miss her.

Had a good Christmas & birthday.

Went to the Pepsi 400 (Daytona) race this past summer. It rained a lot & caused a long rain delay.. but it was still fun. Jeff didn't do as well as I hoped :( , but my dad's driver, Tony Stewart, won so at least 1 of us could be happy.

Jeff Gordon has had a really crappy summer. He went from winning 3 races earlier this year to not even making the chase for the Nextel cup. It has put me in a bad mood for at least part of every Sunday for the last 4 months. I know it's not his fault though. He's so awesome. Something within his team is wrong though. I'm thinkin' it's probably Robbie Loomis. I read a few things that said that his heart wasn't really in this as much as it used to be. He's gone now though & Jeff has a new crew chief. Hopefully things will be better now.

I can't believe another stinkin' hurricane is coming at us (Jeanne). This silly thing has been going around in circles (& I do mean in circles.. you should have seen the projected forcast for it.. lol) for the last few days & now they project it to go West & possibly turn north.. They're saying we might get tropical storm force winds (if it turns North). If it keeps going strait it will pass pretty close to us.. which I am NOT looking forward to. TURN NORTH!!! NOW!!! I am sick of hurricanes. I like being able to see out my windows, I like having power, I don't like having to hunt around for bottled water & gas like it's gold, & we need time to fix our roof dangit! Ack.. is that Big & Rich.. it sounds like a guy & a girl.. & yet it sounds like Big & Rich... It is them, I looked it up. Well, they are distinctive (note, I'm not saying that's a good thing).... What was I talking about? Oh yeah, hurricanes... We got Frances... & then yesterday we had the remnants of Ivan (which wasn't too bad.. it just knocked the Satellite out for awhile & we had some rain). I don't want anything else. Ok, I'm done whining about that now let's move onto something else.

My tv shows are all finally starting to come back. Survivor came back on last week. It looks interesting. Tonight Smallville came back on. It was an interesting season opener that brought forth a lot of new questions to be answered. I also checked out a new show on ABC called Lost. It looks interesting (you know what? I just used the word interesting 3 times in the past 5 sentences). I will definitely try & catch it again next week to see if it's something I want to continue to watch or not. Let's see.. what's left to come back on... Enterprise (in October) & American Idol (whenever that comes back). The nice thing is that I think everything will be on different times this time. Last year I had like 3 shows on at the same time. It was really annoying because nobody could decide what to watch (everybody in my family liked a diff show the best). Smallville is on late Wednesdays though, Survivor is on Thursday, Enterprise is moving into the death slot on Friday (can we say soon to be cancelled?), & American Idol should be on Tuesdays & Wednesdays (when Smallville isn't on). Hmmm.. if I actually like Lost & want to keep watching it.. it might clash with American Idol. Oh well, that's what VCR's are for. I can't believe I just wrote that much about my tv watching habits. Lol.. oh well, if you actually read all that, you may even have less of a life than I do (j/k).

I'm out.

Edit: Haha.. the satellite radio & my regular radio are playing the same song ("She's In Love With The Boy" by Trisha Yearwood) at the same time.. so I'm listening to both of them. Why? Because I can.

I have gotten so bad about updating this thing. Oh well, better late than never I guess.. right? I am soooo sick of hurricanes! We've only been impacted by one (Frances) this year but they keep talking about them & these things just keep pounding FL (& other states) out. I haven't seen a year this bad with hurricanes since I can remember. Frances didn't endanger our (my families) lives.. but it did knock our power out for a few days.. blew off a few roof tiles.. & our city took about a week to get somewhat back to normal. Some people out there just got their power back in the last few days. We were really lucky to get ours back so soon. It has really been a weird experience though.. & to think that this one was just a 2 when it came on-shore. I can't imagine going through a 4 or 5.

Bunch of other crap going on lately.. lotta stress. I hate stress...

Oh well.. there's been a lotta crap.. but some fun too. I'll deal.

Wow, 2 updates in a row about hurricanes. Is that impressive or pathetic? Unfortunately.. this time the hurricane (Frances) seems to be heading our way. I don't think we'll get the brunt of it... hopefully it'll turn a little further north & we'll just get Tropical Storm force winds... or maybe if we're lucky.. not much at all.
Anyway, in case any of my online friends were wondering.. I just wanted to say yes, I am on the South East coast of Florida... But the house is prepared, we have the supplies we need, & we gotta lotta faith & prayers going here... so everything should be ok.

For anybody who wondered, Hurricane Charley spared us & I'm still alive. We actually didn't get any rain at all (for the first time in like 2 weeks.. actually). I think Charley sucked up all our regular rain. Charley didn't even come close to me but I was worried about my Grandpa because he lives in a mobile home in Central FL & my niece was visiting in Sarasota. They are all ok though, thank God. I feel so bad for all of the people who have lost loved ones or lost their homes.
