Was looking through some old entries and I just realized I've been a fan of Stargate Atlantis for a year now, yay. =D

My whole computer-life flashed before my eyes yesterday, lol. When I turned my computer on before the Atlantis series finale, I heard this god-awful noise from the CPU and started freaking out. In between the *OMG's* I thought about all the fic I've worked on in the past 3 months, including the 9 mini_nano stories I still haven't posted (somebody needs to light a fire under my butt on that) and the 10 or so others I've started since then, none of which were backed up. Not to mention all of the pictures, resources, etc... I have stored on here. Anyway, my father came in (because I was getting quite loud and panicky, lol) and thwapped it on the back, near where the fan is. It stopped making the noise and seems to be fine. It certainly scared the life out of me though and I spent the rest of the night worrying about it. I hope it wasn't something serious... maybe something just caught in the fan?

And, of course, last night was the Stargate Atlantis finale. My stomach was in knots watching it (although I think some of that had to do with the computer problems, lol) and I felt a bit teary eyed in spots. I don't think it's been a secret that there have been a lot of things about SGA post S3 that I haven't liked (*cough-cast-changes-cough*)... but I'm bummed that it's over. I really love these characters and I'm going to miss seeing them every week especially John. I wish all of the cast good luck on their future endeavors and hope that they end up on successful shows. There was more I wanted to say last night after it aired, but I could not connect to the internet at all yesterday... and now I can't remember what I wanted to say, lol. No internet also means I have a lot of F-List catching up to do.

I had a weird dream a few nights ago. Somehow I ended up stranded out in the middle of nowhere with a few people (I don't remember a lot of details, but I get the feeling that there was some type of doomsday and we thought we were some of the last people left on Earth). Eventually we happened upon a big raised house and, after wandering through several rooms, we came upon one with tons of shelves lined with tv series DVD's. Lol, so I mention that we can live happily here... until I notice that *dun dun dun* they don't have Season 3 of Battlestar Galactica, *lolz*. Later, when we were out on the porch we found Rodney McKay, whom I was very glad to see. And I don't remember anything else after that.

Speaking of BSG, I've just started watching Season 2 and I think I can officially say that I've been sucked in. I was hoping to be all caught up by the time the series picks up again next week, but I'm not sure if that'll happen. Hopefully not more than a few weeks later than that though.

We all went out for my mother's birthday a few nights ago. My nephew ordered Calamari for an appetizer so I decided to try it (which probably surprised me more than anybody, lol)... and I actually liked it. My sister refused to try it though, which amused me to no end because she's always made a big deal out of my niece and nephew trying something new and even used to pay them $$ to do so. I understand why she didn't want to, there are some things I just wont try... but it was still funny.

I'm now completely up to date with Stargate SG-1. I watched "The Ark of Truth" a couple of days ago and "Continuum" tonight. I think that, of the two, "Continuum" was my favorite. I can't believe it's over. I'm so ready for the next SG-1 movie, I want it nao!

You know, when I started out my journey with SG-1, I kept thinking... this is alright, but I don't think I'll ever like it as much as Atlantis (because, of course, I do everything backwards and started out with Atlantis). I was wondering if I'd be able to come to love these characters as much the ones from SGA and you know what, I do. It took me a bit longer with some of them than it did with SGA (because they had me at hello), but I seriously love them, all of them, and I'm tempted to just say the heck with the other tv series I've purchased to watch and just run through SG-1 again instead, lol. *hugs the team*

My father did something that surprised me tonight. He asked if I wanted to watch Atlantis. I was shocked, lol... he's never suggested that before. Usually whenever *I* suggest him watching it... he wants to watch The Outer Limits or The Original Series (Star Trek) instead. We watched "Letters from Pegasus" and he did complain about Rodney the entire time (as usual) but I'm learning to tune that out.

And this is random, but I want to make Ronon videos to Merle Haggard songs, lol.

Oh... and that LJ downtime earlier? So not funny.

A couple of months ago I posted a photo of Weir and Sumner kissing from "Rising" (original post here). I was really curious about it, because it's not actually part of the episode and just seemed so random, lol. Cut to tonight, I ended up talking about it with anuna_81  and it got me wondering about it again. So, I got on google (I should not be left alone with google at 4AM, lol) and found a video of it! I still don't know the "why", lol... but ZOMG, video! *squee*

Ok, so I convinced my dad to watch Season 1 of Atlantis up to "The Eye" and if he still didn't like it after that... then he doesn't have to watch it anymore (not that I could really make him anyway, lol... but I'd at least stop whining about it). We watched "Rising" tonight & he already admits he likes Atlantis (& John... & Rodney, who I didn't know he even had a problem with) better. 

Lol, there was much internal squee-age going on while rewatching it... especially during John & Liz's first balcony scene. *shippy sigh*

In return I had to watch fight scenes from Bruce Lee movies that he just got today. I think I definitely got the raw end of the deal... I just don't have that gene. Lol... which is kind of surprising, since most of the movies I watch are sci-fi or action... but I like all of the character stuff that goes on inbetween the fight scenes.

Well, Rodney's (my tamagotchi, see last post if confused) still, surprisingly, alive.... especially considering he woke me up this morning. Given how quickly kids get bored... I'm surprised these things were so popular back in the day. All the thing does is eat, poop, whine, & sleep (just like his namesake, ha)... & there's only one game you can play with it. I remember having quite a few digital pets back when the things were popular, I think my favorites were actually the Giga Pets. I think they had a bit more personality. But really it's all just the same thing over & over again. But now I'm just too interested to see how long I can keep it alive, to put it away, lol.

I really really need my Voyager muse to come back. I have 2 stories that I have to finish for people (for a Pay It Forward thing I did last year & yes... it's taking me a whole freaking year to actually complete them) & they're due very shortly (one in a couple of days... & one later next month). I'm really starting to worry that I wont be able to finish them. Well, more-so the J/C one I'm writing... the other story requested was a silly one & I'm sure I can get something together for that. I keep trying to push my Atlantis muse away... I feel like I shouldn't be writing something else when I made a commitment to do these... but it seems all that is accomplishing is writing NOTHING at all. 

My alleriges are annoying the heck out of me. I don't even know whey they're acting up. I've hardly been outside at all today & I don't think I've been around anything else out of the ordinary today.
