Random Part II

captjamiewayOk, so I convinced my dad to watch Season 1 of Atlantis up to "The Eye" and if he still didn't like it after that... then he doesn't have to watch it anymore (not that I could really make him anyway, lol... but I'd at least stop whining about it). We watched "Rising" tonight & he already admits he likes Atlantis (& John... & Rodney, who I didn't know he even had a problem with) better.
Lol, there was much internal squee-age going on while rewatching it... especially during John & Liz's first balcony scene. *shippy sigh*
In return I had to watch fight scenes from Bruce Lee movies that he just got today. I think I definitely got the raw end of the deal... I just don't have that gene. Lol... which is kind of surprising, since most of the movies I watch are sci-fi or action... but I like all of the character stuff that goes on inbetween the fight scenes.
Well, Rodney's (my tamagotchi, see last post if confused) still, surprisingly, alive.... especially considering he woke me up this morning. Given how quickly kids get bored... I'm surprised these things were so popular back in the day. All the thing does is eat, poop, whine, & sleep (just like his namesake, ha)... & there's only one game you can play with it. I remember having quite a few digital pets back when the things were popular, I think my favorites were actually the Giga Pets. I think they had a bit more personality. But really it's all just the same thing over & over again. But now I'm just too interested to see how long I can keep it alive, to put it away, lol.
My alleriges are annoying the heck out of me. I don't even know whey they're acting up. I've hardly been outside at all today & I don't think I've been around anything else out of the ordinary today.

Date: 2008-07-30 04:30 am (UTC)ME TOO! I'm in the EXACT same situation right now! It's kinda nice to know I'm not the only one flailing over this! I have two due on Saturday, one Voyager, one Scarecrow and Mrs. King . . . and my muse is only talking Battlestar Galactica's Adama/Roslin to me right now (which oh, by the way, I stupidly volunteered to do something on August 4 for a "Month of Love" thingy on one of my LJ comms and it's also not done yet *headdesk*).
It's either going to be a spectacularly prolific week for me . . . or I'm going to crash and burn big time. I have a couple Voyager fics that probably can probably be whipped into shape by Saturday, but I think I'm going to have to ask the person who wanted the SMK one if she minds receiving fic from another fandom. I looked over my WIPs for that show last week and realized I don't think I can write those characters anymore. *sigh*

I tried to write a bit on one of them the other day & I suddenly realized that Elizabeth Weir (Stargate Atlantis) was coming through instead of Janeway *face palm*.
